Grades 1-3
Our engaging and fun-filled after-school program for grades 1-3 introduces young learners to the basics of art, encouraging creativity and self-expression through hands-on activities that inspire their imagination.
Grades 4-8
Designed to foster artistic growth and technical skills, our program for grades 4-8 guides students through a variety of mediums, helping them develop a deeper understanding of visual arts while exploring their personal style.

Programs
Art Classes
Our arts class program at ART Inc. offers students the opportunity to dive into various creative disciplines, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. Through guided instruction and collaborative projects, students will develop their skills in both traditional and modern art forms. Whether they are beginners or more experienced artists, this program fosters creativity, confidence, and personal growth in a supportive environment. Funding provided in whole or in part by the Illinois Department of Human Services.
Grades 1-3: Students explore the fundamentals of color, shape, and texture through hands-on projects like painting, drawing, and crafting. The focus is on creativity, motor skills, and self-expression.
Grades 4-8: Building on foundational skills, students dive into more advanced techniques such as perspective, shading, and mixed media. They are encouraged to develop their unique artistic style while learning about famous artists and art history.
Grades 9-12: High school students refine their skills with advanced projects such as digital art, sculpture, and portfolio preparation. The focus is on experimentation, critique, and preparation for careers or further education in art.
Dance Classes
Our dance program offers students an exciting exploration of various dance styles, including contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, and jazz. Designed to build strength, flexibility, and rhythm, these classes encourage self-expression through movement. Students of all skill levels will work with experienced instructors to develop their technique, coordination, and confidence, while learning choreography and improvisation in a fun and supportive environment. Grades 1-3: Young dancers learn basic movements, rhythm, and coordination through fun and energetic routines. The focus is on building confidence and introducing various dance styles in an enjoyable way.
Grades 4-8: Students explore a range of dance genres, including jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, while focusing on technique, flexibility, and choreography. Teamwork and performance skills are emphasized in group routines.
Grades 9-12: Advanced dancers work on mastering complex choreography and performance techniques in genres like contemporary and modern dance. They develop stage presence and leadership skills through collaborative and individual projects.
S.T.E.A.M. Classes
Our STEAM program integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and math, allowing students to engage in hands-on projects that blend creativity with critical thinking. From building structures to experimenting with robotics and coding, this program fosters innovation and problem-solving skills. Students will explore how the arts intersect with technology, inspiring them to think outside the box and apply what they learn to real-world challenges. Grades 1-3: Students engage in playful experiments that blend science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Activities like building simple machines or creating art with circuits inspire curiosity and problem-solving.

Grades 9-12: High schoolers dive into advanced S.T.E.A.M. projects like coding apps, constructing models, or integrating technology into artistic creations. Emphasis is on innovation, teamwork, and preparing for real-world applications.
Theatre
In our theatre program, students will immerse themselves in the world of acting, storytelling, and stage production. Through improvisation, script work, and character development, participants will build their performance skills and gain confidence on stage. Whether working on short scenes or full productions, this program fosters teamwork, creativity, and communication, offering a space for students to express themselves and explore their passion for theatre. Grades 1-3: Students are introduced to the basics of acting, storytelling, and character-building through interactive games and imaginative play. They learn to express themselves confidently on stage.
Grades 4-8: Participants develop their theatrical skills with script reading, improvisation, and scene work. They explore costume design and set creation, working towards performing short plays as a team.
Grades 9-12: Advanced students focus on in-depth script analysis, directing, and stage production. They take on leadership roles in performances, honing their skills for professional or collegiate theater.
Culinary Arts
Our Culinary Program at ART Inc. offers students the opportunity to dive into various culinary disciplines, including cooking, baking, and pastry arts. Through guided instruction and collaborative projects, students will develop their skills in both traditional and modern culinary practices. Whether they are beginners or more experienced chefs, this program fosters creativity, confidence, and personal growth in a supportive environment. Grades 1-3: Budding chefs learn kitchen safety and simple recipes, like making sandwiches, smoothies, and no-bake treats. The focus is on fun, creativity, and building basic cooking confidence.
Grades 4-8: Students expand their culinary skills with age-appropriate techniques such as chopping, baking, and flavor pairing. They learn about nutrition and the cultural origins of various recipes.
Grades 9-12: High school students tackle advanced culinary techniques like knife skills, pastry preparation, and plating. They focus on meal planning, teamwork, and exploring potential careers in the culinary arts.
