The Peoria Peacekeepers is ART Inc.’s teen committee for young people ages 14–17 — a safe space for teens to meet, connect, and be heard. Led by and for Peoria youth, the committee hosts real conversations about violence, solutions, and positive change, and gives teens the chance to speak directly with city officials about the issues that matter most in their community.
Members lead projects that create real change and receive guidance from mentors and leaders who believe in them — building stronger, safer neighborhoods from the ground up.
How We’re Funded
The Peoria Peacekeepers is made possible by the Illinois Community Youth Services (CYS) Grant, an IDHS-funded program designed to prevent violence and delinquency among youth ages 11 to 24 by addressing local risk factors through community engagement and strategic planning.
Who We Serve
Peoria teens ages 14–17 who want a voice in their city and a hand in shaping its future.
